It’s still October and the leaves haven’t even yet completely changed in New York City, but we were treated to a freak snowstorm on October 29. 2011. Really heavy snow, high winds and even thundersnow hit NYC!
Usually the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and Flatiron Building, among others, are in my view, but not with today’s snow. You can barely see the back of the Flatiron.
This video first shows the Con Edison Clock tower to the east. You can see the pelting snow. Then you see the fuzzy back of the Flatiron Building. Next you see a view of the west side of Chelsea (on a clear day you’d normally see into New Jersey). Then it pans from the east to the west.
